Why Frequency/Loyalty Programs Work
Frequency/Loyalty programs have become an important part of the
landscape of commerce in the new millennium. Successful
programs allow customers to accumulate program earnings toward
significant awards simply by being loyal to the sponsoring
company, product or brand. These programs are so effective
because they provide a personal reason for the customer to be a
loyal customer. When there is a purchasing decision to be made,
the company providing the Rewards program will get the business
more often than not.
There are
frequent flyers who will take a later flight, and even fly on a
red-eye, or a different day in order to accumulate “points” or
“miles” toward that family vacation they have been planning. A
well planned and operated Frequency/Loyalty program can be a
very significant addition to the customer, and therefore to the
